How the glass sealant works: Surface tension altered

GYEON Q² QuickView changes this property with an SiO₂-based coating: The silicon dioxide compounds adhere to the glass surface and fundamentally alter its wetting properties. The result is a hydrophobic (water-repellent) surface on which water beads up in spherical drops – the lotus effect on glass. First, thoroughly clean and degrease all windows – grease films from cockpit spray or silicone must be completely removed. Then apply Q² QuickView thinly and evenly to the window, allow to dwell briefly (1-2 minutes), and buff off with a clean microfiber cloth. Then polish to a high shine with a second, dry cloth. For the windshield, proceed panel by panel. After application, do not use the wiper immediately, as the wiper rubber would spread the fresh coating – wait 30 minutes or apply a small layer of water before using the wiper.
