Dazu kommen zwei Probleme, die rein handwerklich sind — dünnflüssiger Filler läuft an senkrechten Sitzwangen ab, und helle Kontrastnähte färben beim Sprühauftrag mit ein. Wax Slip trifft hier die Werksanmutung deutlich häufiger als Soft Slip. In den allermeisten dieser Fälle war die Fläche zu glatt geraten — ein Top Coat ohne Griff-Zusatz trocknet als geschlossene Lackhaut auf, und die fühlt sich neben dem gealterten Nachbarleder wie Folie an.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch3\u003eDie Reihenfolge beim Anrühren entscheidet über das Ergebnis\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDer Ablauf der Färbe-Linie ist festgelegt: entfetten, grundieren, füllen, färben, mit Top Coat versiegeln, das Finish über Additive einstellen. Jeder Zusatz hat darin seinen festen Platz.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eGanz vorn steht das Nahtschutz-Gel, noch vor der ersten Farbe. Der Grund ist die Topfzeit: Sobald der Vernetzer drin ist, läuft die Reaktion, und die Mischung muss zeitnah verarbeitet werden. Rühre also nur so viel an, wie du in der nächsten Stunde versprühst, und misch den Rest neu.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eZwei Details werden regelmäßig übersehen. Erstens setzt sich der Mattierungszusatz als Feststoff in der stehenden Flasche unten ab — wer ihn nicht vor jeder Entnahme gründlich aufrührt, dosiert beim ersten Becher zu wenig und beim letzten zu viel. Zweitens ist thermisch trocken nicht chemisch fertig: Die Fläche fühlt sich nach Minuten trocken an, durchvernetzt ist sie erst nach 24 bis 48 Stunden.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eDas Absetzen unterschätzen wir alle einmal. Bei uns landen regelmäßig Fälle, in denen Fahrersitz und Beifahrersitz nach demselben Arbeitstag zwei sichtbar verschiedene Glanzgrade tragen — angerührt aus derselben Flasche, nur eben aus dem oberen und dem unteren Drittel. Deshalb: vor jedem neuen Becher aufrühren, nicht nur zu Beginn. Für eine komplette Sitzgarnitur planst du beim ersten Projekt besser zwei Tage ein, ab dem zweiten Mal reicht ein Wochenende.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch3\u003eAdditive retten keine schlechte Vorbereitung\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eKein Zusatz dieser Gruppe repariert einen Fehler, der weiter vorn im Ablauf passiert ist. Wo die Haftung fehlt, hilft auch der Vernetzer nicht.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eDie klarste Grenze ist das Entfetten. Silikonhaltige Innenraumpflege, Handcreme und Sonnencreme hinterlassen einen Film, auf dem weder Grundierung noch Farbe halten. Eine vernetzte Top-Coat-Schicht auf ungereinigtem Untergrund wird dadurch nicht haltbarer, sie blättert nur als härteres Stück ab. Ebenso wenig ersetzt ein Additiv den Farbton: Glanz, Griff und Härte lassen sich einstellen, die Nuance kommt aus der Mischung der \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/koch-chemie-colourlock-faerben-lederfarben\"\u003eLederfarben\u003c\/a\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eÜberdosierung ist die zweite Grenze und wir haben sie selbst produziert. Beim Versuch, das sehr matte Werksleder eines älteren Innenraums exakt zu treffen, haben wir den Mattierungszusatz deutlich über die empfohlene Spanne hinaus hochgezogen. Der Glanzgrad stimmte danach, die Fläche fühlte sich jedoch kreidig an und nahm bei der ersten Reinigung sichtbar Abrieb. Das Bindemittel trägt nur eine begrenzte Menge Feststoff, darüber wird der Film mürbe. Seitdem gehen wir in Ein-Prozent-Schritten vor und akzeptieren lieber eine Spur zu viel Glanz.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eZwei weitere Einsatzgrenzen sind hart. Keiner der Zusätze wird pur aufgetragen, weil keiner von ihnen für sich einen tragfähigen Film bildet. Und auf offenporigem Anilin- und Nubukleder hat die Gruppe nichts zu suchen: Dort existiert gar kein Deckschichtsystem, in das ein Additiv eingreifen könnte.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eDie dritte Grenze ist keine Frage des Materials, sondern der Sicherheit. In den Außenwangen vieler Sitzlehnen sitzt die Reißnaht des Seitenairbags, eine dokumentationspflichtige Sollbruchstelle, die weder überlackiert noch durch vernetzte Schichten versteift werden darf. Dass sich Nähte mit dem Schutzgel sauber abdecken lassen, ändert daran nichts. Arbeiten an oder direkt neben dieser Naht gehören in einen Sattlerfachbetrieb mit Sachkundenachweis.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch3\u003eWomit du anfängst, hängt an deinem Fehlerbild\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDer Einstieg in diese Gruppe ergibt sich aus dem, was an der fertigen Fläche stört.
